Missing System Tray Icons

Sometimes after a reboot some of the icons from the system tray don't load
which denies access to the programs that are resident there. The icons are
not hidden by the "<<" icon but are simply not in the system tray even though
they are still running. For example I cannot see the MS anitspyware icon but
it will generate popups. Other times the icon tray is populated fully.

All spyware and antivirus checks return nothing, and are up to date. and SFC
returned no error messages.

Any ideas ?

This is a known problem that affects some configurations. Several
work-arounds have been published on the web, and they work for some users,
but not for all. The problem seems to affect systems that are set to logon
automatically. The workaround most often mentioned is to log on manually.
