Hi

i just got a new computer with windows xp professional sp1 on it.
i'm using the classic start menu, and when i open it - the icons are
missing - but only for the first menu (the icons for the: turn off, log off,
run, help, search, ..., programs) - all the sub-menus have icons for the
programs and folders.

can anyone tell me what to do ?

Mr Kalsky

Try this.

Right click on the task bar next to start. Then properties.

Select start menu. Then the second one, 'Classic Start Menu. Customise.

Now in the advance Start menu options, do you have personalized menus option
ticked? If not, then this could be the reason you are not getting all your
icons to show.

Let me know how you get on by either posting your thread to the Microsoft
Usergroup feature or by email at (e-mail address removed)
