Missing sheet tabs

I was given a workbook with several worksheets. When I
open the workbook there are no tabs on the bottom of the
worksheets and therefore no way to move from one sheet to
another. I know all the sheets are there, because when I
enter information in a cell, I get what I am supposed to
in the sheet I am on, which comes from another sheet
within the workbook........

I have checked Tools/Options/View and I have both the
scrollbars ticked and also Sheet Tabs.............

In all my other worksheets I have the sheet tabs and
everything else on that bar, but in this particular
worksheet I do not. I have tried from a floppy and via e-
mail and get the same results.......

When the person who gave me this file gives it to others
there is not this problem......

Can anyone offer any help here?

Thanks,
Deloy

A couple of basic things to try...

Are the worksheets hidden? (Format > Sheet > Unhide...)

Is your workbook maximized within the Excel window, or is part of it
off the screen? (ie, can you see the horizontal scroll bar?)

If you can see the horizontal scroll bar and you have view sheets
checked in Options (as you indicated), then there should be a small,
vertical line/widget to the left of the scroll bar on the edge of your
Excel window. If you put your cursor over that widet, the cursor should
change into a small double-arrow indicating that you can drag the
widget. Drag it to the right to make your scroll bar smaller and make
room for the sheet tabs to be displayed.

Hope that helps!

Actually, none of that worked..........there was nothing
to move on the bottom.........no horizontal scroll bar at
all....but we finally found out that I just needed to hit
the Maximize button on the spreadshhet..........does not
seem to affect my worksheets this way, but sure messed up
the one I was given.......thanks for the effort......

There is a way to move from one worksheet to another, even if the tabs are
not visible. Use the keyboard shortcuts CTRL + PageUP and CTRL + PageDown.
