Missing Ribbon Insert Tab the Task window

Guest

When I install the BCM the Insert Tab in the Task, Journal and Contact
windows disappears!!!

Is anyone else having this problem?

PS. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times to try and fix the
problem.

Cheers,

FYI...

I have uninstalled BCM (including Accounting and SQL Express) and the Insert
Tabs have returned. So I don't know what component is causing the issue.

Hi Raveendiran,

I tried your suggestion and it didn't work for me.

To give you a bit more information... I initially submitted the problem of
the Insert Tab disappearing from the Ribbon in the Task (and other) windows
within Outlook 2007 when I was installing Office 2007 on my laptop (which was
using Windows Vista). Out of curiosity I check my installation of Office on
my home PC (which is using Windows XP) and it too was missing the Insert Tab.
I tried your suggestion on my PC and it didn't resolve the problem. I
uninstalled Office and re-installed it several times and I can confirm that
when I installed the BCM (including SQL Express and Accounting 2007) the tabs
are disappearing.

I have now reinstalled Windows XP on my laptop with Office and NOT the BCM
and it appears to be working just fine.

I would have loved to use the BCM but I have just had too many problems
getting it to work. (Doesn't work with Terminal Services so it can't be
deployed at work and I can't even use it locally because of the issue
described in this email.

I'm not sure where to go from here other then to just forget about using it
all together.

Thanks for your help anyway. If you figure something out I would really like
to hear about it.

Cheers and thanks again for your time,
Lee

Hi ,

To solve this problem, try these steps:

1. Close all the windows and get to the windows desktop.
2. Search for the files FRMCACHE.DAT, OUTCMD.DAT AND EXTENT.DAT
3. Cut and paste the file on a different location..say desktop.
4. Start outlook

This should fix your problem. If it does not please write to me with the
deatail of the error you are facing and what was the last major change that
you did to your computer before this issue re-occured

Thanks
