missing regedit

My computer keeps turning off no matter what Iam doing. Can't download yahoo
messenger, it says c:\windows\regdit.exe cannot find. I can't type regedit
into run as windows cannot find it.

if the installer is indeed telling you it can't find "regdit.exe" then what
you are trying to install could, itself, be malware. The proper command
using Start -> Run is: REGEDT32 -or REGEDT (either command brings up the
same executable)
