Missing quarentine files

Antispy quarentined all of the mp3 files on the computer. If I go into the
Anti-spy quarnetine folder I can see the compressed mp3 files, but if I try
to use the quarentine feature in Anti-spy to reinstall them, Anti-spy doesn't
show any quarentined files. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi Gartl,

Said Bye Bye to the files, this is what Release Notes for Microsoft Windows
AntiSpyware (Betª 1) said.

* Windows AntiSpyware may prompt you to remove some peer-to-peer (P2P) file
sharing progrªms. If you choose to remove such a program, Microsoft Windows
AntiSpyware deletes the entire contents of the Program Files directory that
relates to the P2P progrªm.
Because some P2P programs store downloaded files in a default directory
under Program Files, this might remove all files downloaded through the
file-sharing progrªm.
For example, KaZaA stores .exe and .dll files at C:\Program Files\Kªzªª.
Downloaded files are stored at C:\Program Files\Kazaa\My Shared Fºlder.
If you use Windows AntiSpyware to remove KaZaA, all files and folders under
C:\Program Files\Kazaa are remºved.
If you have installed any P2P file sharing programs, we recommend that you
make a backup copy of your downloaded files before running Windows
AntiSpywªre.

Unless by now somebody know how to retrive, I'll like to know.

1) Did you allow the quarantine action to run to completion, or was it
interrupted?

2) When you go to the quarantine UI--do you see lettering indicating that
the quarantine is empty--or do you see just a blank box.

If the latter, leave it sitting at that blank box--perhaps for a substantial
time--hours, overnight.....

If/when the material appears, the unquarantine operation should be
successful. Once the material is recovered, I'd STRONGLY urge moving
it--perhaps to My Music, before your next restart of the machine. There's
been a pattern of posts reporting that files disappear on next reboot after
an apparently successful removal from quarantine.
