Error 0x80501001 in

Hi I wanted to know what the error 0x80501001 is and why is it when I go to
remove something that Windows defender detects that I get this message with
the following error. I then rescan (did that at least 3 times) like it
suggested and yet it doesn't get rid of the file. Would quarentine be a
better option that remove all? Please help!

0x80501001 is an internal error code that just means the action failed. It
could fail for a number of reasons, including the threat being inside an
archive, the file being held open by something, or other reasons. Quarantine
may not work either.

You're welcome, glad to have been of service and thanks for posting back.

Would you please post what you did to resolve this so that others can
learn how ? (First or second choice)

Thanks

Sure this is what I did: Clear the checkbox for "Scan inside archives" in
the General Settings section under the Tools menu. This helped out a lot.
