"missing" program folders

Martyn

Some programs I have installed don't show up in Start>AllPrograms or
ControlPanel>Add or Remove Programs but they are there when I access the
Programs folder via Explorer.
Why is this and how do I uninstall them fully?
I am the sole user/Administrator of my OS..XP Professional.

Some programs do not install per se and this might be the case in your
situation. You might want to post back and name the programs to see if we
can provide specific comments on your problem. If the installation program
did not place a shortcut in the start menu (or you declined one during
installation), you naturally won't have a program listing there.

Double click Program files,

The program you want to uninstall should be listed in there if it is?

And if there is no such option, just delete the folder and any
shortcuts that refer to it.

You could get really anal about it and go to the registry, but that's
not advisable given your apparent lack of depth on this matter.
