missing product key

About one year ago I purchased my laptop (Dell 8500)
through my corporation (Pacific Republic Mortgage)and it
was configured for our network at our corporate office
and mailed to me. Somewhere along the line the startup
discs were misplace and never sent to me and now when I
need to update, my product key and startup discs are
called for and I do not have them. I contacted my company
and Dell and they both sent me back to Microsoft. My
order number from Dell was 3 00068088 and my customer
number was 003645044. My product key from the back of my
laptop is B9GJ9 3YKT6 WTT7G 8FMGY PTG6J and my service
number is GFCKMM21 and my exp. code is 3576627113. No
matter what number I enter for Office updates and I told
my product key is not valid and I have been unable to get
anyone to assist me. I cannot use some of my Office
products until this is fixed. Can someone assist me?
Thanks

Hello
this is not an XP problem you will need the Office Disks
to reinstall MS Office and they come with there own
product key that is on the CD's or book that comes with
them.
Hope this helps

You'll have to contact Dell support and request replacement CDs.
Microsoft cannot replace OEM CDs since the manufacturer (Dell)
customizes them to work only with a specific Dell PC. Your
Dell Product Key will only work with a Dell CD.

The chain of customer/service-provider here is:
You<->Employer<->Dell<->Microsoft.

While it's probably ok (but not impressive as far as a company service
goes) for the company not to "support" you ... that's up to them, seems
as if Dell should be able help.

Microsoft not in the loop far as your are concerned. The keys on the
laptop are for the operating system (not Office) as provided by Dell.
This may or may not be what your company gave you.

Why the heck do you publish to the world all these code numbers
(customer, id, etc.)? This some sort of code? Are you secretly trying
to expose to the whole world "good" numbers? Very bad thing to do, IMHO.

The codes that you list are for XP, not for Office.
If you were sold with Office you should have received
disks with an install key for same. Dell sells laptops with
different combinations of bundled software, so you may
or may not have the bundled Office. Try researching based
on your Dell invoice or records at your corp.

You really should have kept some of the info you posted
private. I have sent request to cancel your post as a
result, but it is probably too late, and if it is removed it
will not likely be until after the US holiday.
