Missing Processor Performance Counter

We received our target hardware from the vendor with XPe already installed
on it - however, our app makes use of the sysmon.ocx control to monitor the
processor usage and when installed on the target PC, the processor usage did
not show up.

Looking in performance monitor, there is no "Processor" category of
counters. I have tried loading the image on another PC (just your run of the
mill Dell) and the missing counters were now available. Am I to conclude
that counter availability is affected by hardware as well as what is
included in the Target Designer?

Ok, I found an older post about this that talked about needing to have
pagefile support enabled. However, on my target machine if pagefile support
is enabled, Windows complains and states that the pagefile is not large
enough - I tried all of the different settings - allowing Windows to manage
the pagefile, letting the pagefile take up all of the existing space, etc.
Nothing stopped the error messages (aside from disabling pagefile support).

Incidentally, the target machine I am working with has a 1 GB flash drive
and XP & installed apps consume about half of that.
