Missing pictureviewer.exe

When I try to double click on a jpg file, I get a message
that says "pictureview.exe not found" and it asks me to
locate it. I do not find an execute file on my hard drive
with this name. I used to be able to open jpg files by
just double clicking on them. Does anyone have any ideas
about what might be going on?

Hi Sharon,

A quick search on http://www.google.com shows that you are able to download
the
pictureviewer.exe file for free from several locations.

Alternatively you should be able to view the jpg files from using Internet
Explorer.

Sure I can tell you "what is going one." At some point in time you installed something that associated jpg files to itself. Likely called Picture Viewer. You thne uninstalled it. At that point the uninstall was lame and left the association for jpg. So you need to reassociate jpg to something which can open them. Like Microsoft Internet Explorer.
