Missing paging file after install/uninstall WinFax.

John

I have window 2000 professional edition. After I installed
and uninstalled WinFax on my computer, every time when I
start my computer, it shows a message that “no paging file
or paging file is too small”. It seems people installed
Quickbooks, Powerbuilder, Cabnetware, or Oracle for
Windows 95 has the same problem. Knowledge Base article
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;252725 have fixs for Quickbooks, Powerbuilder,
Cabnetware, or Oracle for Windows 95. Does anybody know
how to fix the problem for Winfax?

Many thanks in advance.

Deny the system permissions to the pagefile.sys, reboot delete, reboot and
you should have a new pagefile. You also want to check to see if the system
account has full controll of the root drives.
