As a result of upgrading my MB on my Win 2000 Machine the HD needs to be
reformatted. Not wanting to loose lose my Outlook express messages I
tansferred my partitionned HD (E:F:G) to an XP Pro Machine. I have done a
search for ".dbx" files and the only ones I Can find are are on the C drive.
any help or comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mark

Outlook Express and Outlook are two different applications; DBX files are
associated with the former.

In WindowsXP, the OE user files, including *.wab and *.dbx files, are by
default marked as hidden. To view these files in Explorer, you must enable
Show Hidden Files and Folders under Start | Control Panel | Folder Options |
View.

Hi Mark,

Be sure to set search options to search hidden files, folders and system
folders. Inbox is under a hidden folder.

Close OE. Then go to Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder Options/View/Show Hidden
files and folders. Then do a Search for *.dbx...Open OE/File/Import.

If that doesn't help, use this .dbx extrator:

Thanks greatly, just found everything, You have to set Search to open Hidden
folders also, a good evening to all
