I do not have a backup and some of my data is critical.
I would like to recover but I would also settle for
downloading important data in a limited number of
directories and reinstalling XP if that is another way to
go. Here is the problem:
I boot up my computer and get the following message:
Missing or corrupt
Windows/Config/System/System32 (May not be that exact
order, I'm looking at my notes from a few days back).
It says it MAY be repairable from the Windows Startup
Disk.
I'm able to use that disk and get into repair mode but
don't have the slightest idea what to do from there.
Any ideas?
