For some reason my opened windows icons are not visible
in my task bar.
I could not find any option on task bar properties where
I can restore this feature which was working properly
until yesterday.
Any tip?

Perhaps they are there but hidden, try doubling the width of the taskbar and
see if they become visible. Hover the mouse over the top edge of the
taskbar, when the cursor becomes a double vertical arrow, depress the left
mouse button and drag the top edge upward until the taskbar doubles and see
if you then are able to see opened windows in the taskbar. If yes, there is
a divider on the taskbar, rather faint, it likely isn't set in a location
that allows for that visibility, it needs to be dragged either right or left
to allow for that visibility.

I tried this and did not work.
It seems they are hidden behind the START button.

There should be a faint divider to the right of the start button on the
taskbar. Hover the mouse over it, when the cursor becomes a horizontal
double arrow, click the left mouse button and drag that divider to the
right. As you do so, they should become visible.

If that doesn't work, try turning off quick launch and turning it back on.
NOTE: doing so will require you to replace the shortcuts currently on the
taskbar as they will no longer be there. Right click start, select
properties, go to the taskbar tab, remove the check from "Show Quick
Launch," click apply and ok, then replace the check next to "Show Quick
Launch" and click apply and ok.
