Missing OEM CD

Am helping a friend fix their computer and they seem to have lost their
original OEM boot CD. The computer was originally purchased from Tiny who
are no longer in business as far as I know, so don't have much hope of
getting a replacement CD from them. Is there any way I could get a
replacement CD from Microsoft if they have their original proof of purchase
or will they have to shell out and buy a proper copy of XP?

have you researched the website of that
pc's manufacturer for an oem replacement?

Is there a holographic
key stuck onto the pc somewhere?

As far as I know, Tiny Computers is no longer in business and therefore has
no website...

Will have a look -- what do I do if there is?

If you have the sticker with a Keycode, you might try another (non-branded)* OEM disk with this
code.
However, with Tiny Computers out of business, you may be SOL and need to buy another disk.
Microsoft will not provide support to OEM installations. That was the requirement of the OEM
supplier.

*a Dell disk, or any other branded disk most likely will not work as they are keyed to the BIOS on
the branded motherboard.
