Missing NTDS settings

I have a problem with a child domains dc appearing on the
top of the tree servers ADSS view.

If I add the server and await replication it will not have
any NTDS settings available on the top of the tree server
and it creates a duplicate server on the child domains
ADSS which still doesnt offer ntds settings.

On the child domains dc the server is currently visible
and has NTDS settings.

As far as im aware Ive done everything right during the
initial setup as this is the only problem child domain I
have after setting up 10 child domains previously.

Any help would be appreciated.
