missing newsgroups

I am new to my version windows. Where are all the newsgroups that don't
start with "microsoft..". Thank you.

You're asking in the wrong place - this newsgroup is for the database software
Microsoft Access.

That said, it appears that you have Windows Mail set to use
msnews.microsoft.com as your news server. This is Microsoft's own news server,
carrying only Microsoft's own newsgroups. If you want the comp. and alt. and
misc. newsgroups, you will need to find another news server, perhaps from your
internet service provider, a commercial service, or one of the rare and hard
to find free news servers.
