I have a missing MSVCR71.dll which pops up when I try to
run AOL 9.0, although an older 8.0 version on my computer
didn't have this problem. Unfortunately, AOL had me erase
all of the programs and reinstall from a fresh disk --
which I have tried several times from several disks -- to
no avail. {I only occasionally use AOL and access it
through my Broadband via Charter.)
I cannot find this particular DLL in the Microsoft DLL
library. When I tried to accessit from your server as
listed below, I don't have the right program to open
it .... and ended up at PC Doctor, which told me I had
132 problems and order it now to fix them!!
HELP!
If I can find this, what folder should I put it in.
(Otherwise, internet explorer opens just fine from my
Charter Pipeline Broadband, which is what I usually use.
THANKS!!

Thank you or your reply. I did search for msvcr71.dll in
the dll library, but didn't find it listed. Is there
another way to find fixes for it?
I do have .net framework 1.1 on my computer already. I
went to the link you had below (which led to another
link) and then tried to find updates at the windows
library....but it asked me which version of windows xp
home edition I was running - RTM or SP1 -- how do i find
out. Wouldn't the updates be included in my regularly
windows update? (I just reset to "0" and reupdated
everything....)
thanks again.
