missing mso97.dll

I upgraded from 98 to XP, but excel, powerpoint and a few
other programs will not work. The system notes I'm
missing "mso97.dll". Any suggestions on how to resolve
this issue?

Hello!
1.go to control panel
2. select "add/remove programs"
3. select "MS Office 2000"
4. click "add/remove" (ensure cd software is inserted)
5. finally select "repair/install"
