Missing MFU from Start Menu

I'd been working with a rep on missing Most Frequenty Used
apps from the Start Menu, but the thread appears to have
died and I'm still stuck.

I have an End User on XP Pro that cannot get apps to
appear on the MFU section of his Start Menu. Other users
on the same PC are fine, it's just this one profile. I've
checked all the MFU keys in the registry - they appear to
be normal, nothing is flagging apps from not loading. I
checked his Policies (The NoStartMenuMFUprogramsList key)
and that is not there, the menu *should* be active.

Any idea on where else to look to solve this?

Thank you!

Did you double check the Start Menu properties and make sure that a positive
integer was there for the option "Number of programs on Start menu:"?

Yes, I've changed it from 6 to 0 to 20 and back to 6, no
change. I've also checked the Registry key to verify the
chnage was sticking, I did not see any issues there,
either.
