MISSING MENU

ok so im not the smartest guy when it comes to computers so forgive me if i
sound stupid. but i recently used the restore cd's on my computer and when i
log in nothing but the backround and garbage can is there. there is not start
menu thing at the bottom of the screen.

it may be beyond the screen

right click on the desktop and readjust your resolution
