missing image in xp professional

I see all the images on my computer. I have xp professional. When I try to forward or email something with a picture or image the person I'm sending it to doesn't see the image. They all just get a red X. In the tools section of my toolbar I have it checked to show images. Thanks for any help.
 
Sounds like you are sending them a *link* to the image rather than the image
itself. Problem is, the link points to an image on your computer not theirs.
Worth a check, anyway.
 
How would I change that? It happens from emails that people send me that I forward on and on internet pages. Thanks.
