Image display problem

Hi, i'm trying to register my personal details on a website but having
entered the details i am asked to reproduce some figures from an image into
a box. Trouble is i cannot see the image because all there is there is a
square with a red cross in it. I have tried right clicking and then show
picture but this doesn't work and i have made sure that the box in IE
advanced properties has a tick for show images. Its got to be something to
do with settings on my computer because my daughter has set up her details
from her laptop at the same site and she uses XP home just like me.
