Missing IE Version Information

When I click on ABOUT INTERNET EXPLORER, I notice that the
following nformation are all totally blanked out:
a) version
b) cipher strength
c) product ID
d) update versions

This information was there when I first installed IE 6
downloaded from the microsoft site.

I also noticed that subsequently the windows update
program stops working properly.

I would any help any one can give for clues on what is
wrong.

What third-party "system" tool(s) might you be running (includes anti-virus
application and firewall)?

You might also tell us your Windows version.

This could be part of the MsBlaster virus. You have to get
the patch and then download and install the browser.
