missing icons, i.e. media bar

I have internet explorer 6.0 sp2 and seem to be missing the media button that
brings up the media bar??

A friend has a computer a year older than mine and he has it?

Why is mine missing? How do I get it and make sure I have the most up to
date version

Thank you. When I read this last week it made sense. However, I was helping
a friend of mine on her computer and saw that on her version of IE, 6.0,
which was bought just 6 months ago (mine 1.5 yrs) She HAD the media bar. Any
reason for this.
