missing icon

I've just had to install new connection settings from my
ISP(freeserve).Since they have been installed my icons of
the computers talking to each other have gone missing
from the tray at the bottom right hand of display.can you
help me get them back without using system restore.thank

Go to Network Connections in the Control Panel.
Right click the connection, click Properties.
Place check in "Show icon..."
