I just upgraded from XP Pro to XP Pro with SP2. I had three hard drives that
were working fine before the upgrade. After the upgrade I am unable to see
my third (80GB storage) drive in XP (My Computer).

When I first boot up I able to see the 80GB drive in the BOIS confiuration
screen, so I'm a little confused why XP does not recognize it. Any thoughts?
Thanks.

On a side note....the other small issue that I found after upgrading is that
my Hard Drive light is always on when XP is running...not always blinking, it
is on steady. Any ideas?

Presumably you mean you updated the sp patch
A hd light constantly on can be a sign that a hd has failed
What do you see in Disk Management?

I would try rt clicking MyComputer>select Manage>Disk Management>If the
80G Drive shows up there see if you can
rt click and give it a drive letter.

I can only see two of my three drive in Disk Management...the 80GB (my
"missing" drive) does not show in Disk Management.

The disk is visible in the bios?
You've checked cable connections?
Visited hd manu web site and downloaded / used their hd checking utility?

-Yes, the disk is visible in the BIOS.
-Cable connections seem to be fine.
-I tried re-installing the drivers using the CD-ROM that came with my HD,
but the software does not see the HD.

I really don't know what happened...Thanks.

But you havent tried / used the manu hd checking utility

What drivers are you refering to? what exactly did you install from hd cd
