Missing GIF file when published

I'm using FP 2003 and uploading with the internal PUBLISH function to
Comcast.net.

I have ONE page I can't get a particular GIF file to show up on after I
publish the site. When IN FP in either the design tab or the code tab I can
see the image or the GIF name (in the CODE tab). It also PREVIEWS fine.

But...once I publish the page and view it from in my browser the image
doesn't show up. When I do VIEW SOURCE in the browser and search for GIF the
reference to that file is no longer there.

I have looked at anther image on the same page and even tried to duplicate
ALL the picture settings and still no go.

Any ideas ladies and gents?

Thanks,
Tim

I've heard it mentioned that some pop up blockers will keep "some" gif's
from showing, but that doesn't explain the missing file path.
Can you post a url to the page? The missing file path is a little puzzling.

Thanks Steve,

Here's the url. Below that is the code from FP listing --- MarslogoLg.gif.
You'll note that it does NOT appear in the source view of the actual url.

I'll check my Ad and pop-up blockers in the mean time.

Thanks for any insight you might have.

<img border="0" src="MarslogoLg.gif" width="250" height="250"
style="position: relative; left: 3"></p>
</div>

I can see it and I can see it in the source:

<p align="left">
<img border="0" src="MarslogoLg.gif" width="250" height="250"
style="position: relative; left: 3"></p>

WHAT????? --- It's DEFINETLY not in the source from IE6.x that I have. What
could be ripping it out of my IE page display?

Tim

WOW, just fired up my laptop and I CAN see the image and, of course, it's in
the source.

Maybe my Norton Security? And WHY only THIS GIF?

Any better thoughts?
Thanks,
Tim

Shows fine here too.
Shut down FrontPage.
Find and delete all files found by searching for *.tmp and *.web and delete
all found. Clear your browsers Temporary Internet And History files. Check
your web site and see if it shows.

MARS
Brings back memories. Tinkered with MARS for a while on the USS America on
a couple of deployments. Suffice it to say we had enough power to reach
almost anywhere.

Thanks Kathleen,

But, I CAN see it from the laptop I've just fired up and I've refreshed the
browser on the desktop machine, even closed and re-opened it. Still no go.

I'm gonna guess it's some SAFETY thing that I've got set with NORTON. <sigh>
I feel SO used now. <G>

Thanks for paying attention to me.
Tim

Bookmarked. Let me know when it's done, as I know a lot of people who would
like to see it.

Good call Steve.

Deleting the *.tmp and *.web got it up. Funny that it would be only THAT GIF
though huh?

Btw, the site IS live now. There's more to add to it but I had to launch it
at some point.

There is some stuff on the USS Sanctuary Navy MARS shack I visited on a
boondoggle once. Take a look at the Photo Gallery stuff.

Thanks for the help, --- Thanks to Kathleen too.
