Missing Fonts

I am a student. I am trying to work on some word processing exercises and I
am having trouble finding the fonts I need. I have Office 2007 Standard. I
can find the fonts on my computer at school but not at home. Examples are
Broadway, old Baskerville, and Alergian just to start.

Different versions/editions of Office software can change the fonts that are
installed. Just because you have a font at school doesn't guarantee that
you'll have them at home.

Hi Jenny

While font files may end up on a computer through various ways, most
come with individual products. After installation, they are managed by
the Operating System (and not by, say, Word, or any other program alone).

http://www.microsoft.com/typography/fonts/default.aspx

lets you find out which fonts are included in Microsoft products, and
lists these products.

So, if your home computer does not show a given font that Microsoft says
comes with the installed version of Word, you might be able to install
it through the Word/Office setup. In this case, it's probably all right
to copy the TTF font file from your school computer (Start | Control
Panel | Fonts) and drop it in the same folder on your home computer.

Very helpful, JoAnn. I've added that to my "cheat sheet."

No, it has it's own page. Let me see if I have it bookmarked here at work or
can find it easily.
