Missing files

When I start up I get the following message: "Error loading
c:\windows\image.new"

There are two missing rundll files.

Should I reinstall Windows XP Home?

That would be a last resort.
Look in the places that load at start up, and delete the shortcut to
"IMAGE.NEW" to the RECYCLE BIN (where it can be recovered if necessary).

Or, if in the registry, export the key prior to making changes.

Take a look at "Streamline your start ups"...
