WinDoctor 2004 gives me a missing file error message
saying "MISSING FILE: C:\WINNT\system32\MAPISRVR.EXE
Problem: C:\WINNT\system32\MAPISRVR.EXE cannot
access a necessary file "gapi32.dll".
This file exists in:
"C:\ProgramFiles\CommonFiles\system\Mapi|1033\NT.
I run 2000 Pro. The system seems to be fine but the error
message bothers me. Why can't the file be accessed and how
do I correct the problem? The error first surfaced when I
ran a system check with WinDoctor after I installed and
then uninstalled a 1997 edition of Microsoft Streets Plus.
I would appreciate any help I can get with this problem.

Copy the file Gapi32.dll to where WinDoctor expects to find it:
1.. Open Windows Explorer.
2.. Navigate to the folder C:\Program Files\Common
Files\System\Mapi\1033\NT.
3.. In the right Explorer pane, right-click Gapi32.dll and choose Copy.
4.. Navigate to the folder C:\Windows\System32.
5.. Right-click System32, and then choose Paste.
6.. Close Windows Explorer.
7.. Restart the computer.
When you run WinDoctor again, you will not get this error
