Missing File ...Run "SETUP"?

During an attempt to use the "SEARCH" function in MS
Windows Explorer (XP Home), I an getting the following
error message: "A file that is required to run Search
Companion cannot be found. Your may need to run setup."

I do not know which setup to run, nor do I know how the
missing file was deleted or renamed?

Can you give me a solution and a method to avoid this
problem in the future?
