Can anyone tell me if the following is something
necessary to address. Does it need to be re-installed
and if so, how do I go about it?
"Missing Program File:
C:\WINDOWS\System32MAPISRVR.EXE, Cannot access necessary
file "gapi32,DLL."

Not certain where to ask this question, I've posted this
question for help in 2 locations, here and in Windows
DNA. I will check both in so much as I negleted to give
my e-address @ Windows DNA!

Well, is your computer running fine? There are minor quirks with
Norton's WinDoctor program reporting missing files that are actually
installed correctly. I would ignore the WinDoctor report.

Here is an example:

Error Message: <Systemroot>\System32\Mapisrvr.exe Cannot
Access a Necessary File, "Gapi32.dll"
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;320550

WinDoctor cannot fix the error "'C:\WINNT\System32\MAPISRVR.EXE'
cannot access a necessary file 'Gapi32.dll'"
http://service4.symantec.com/SUPPOR...7607b31f7355c0e2882569c4004da492?OpenDocument

The gapi32.dll file can be found on your Microsoft Office
installation CD.

Hi Carey, Thanks to you also for helping... For the
most part the computer is working fine. There are just a
few glitches. One of which is my Outlook Express progam.
Since the subject error message showed up the OE
disconnects after 2 minutes.......regardless of numeras
attemps to rectify the problem. I am guessing that
perhaps this missing file would be the culpret. What do
you think?
