Missing file and errors on startup

I purchased a plug and play type printer, HP Desckjet 3910, and when I
attempt to install it, I get an error message that states "file usbprint.sys
is missing". I contacted Dell and did some diagnostics and was told my USB
ports aren't working or not detected.

My other issue is sometimes after a restart, I get stop messages and
warnings about corrupted drivers and have to restart in safe mode or last
known configuration.
The stop message looks like this:
0x000000c5 (0x00000004,0x00000002,0x00000001,0x8053cbb8)
I haven't the slightest clue as to what that means.
If someone can help me with either or both of these problems ,it would be
greatly appreciated. My email is pctahlequah(removethis)@aol.com

thanks

In my system there is only one copy of usbprint.sys which is in the
c:\windows\system32\dllcache folder.

You're welcome. Good luck.
