missing emails from personal folders in outlook 2007

Windows 7 asked me if I want to backup my personal folders and I clicked yes.
Then realized that all my emails from jan 25- feb17 in all my personal
folders had disappeared. I have never experienced anything like this before.
Any suggestions?

In Outlook have you done File-Open-Outlook Data File and looked to see if
there's a file called Archive.pst visible?

Windows 7 knows nothing about Outlook's folders and would not ask you about
them Please be precise in your description of what is asking you and what the
target of the question is. Supply the exact test of the message and a
complete description of exactly what you did when it appeared.
