I installed Nero burner software and my DVD drive (LG DVD DRN8080B) and my
external Iomega Predator CDRW drive have disappeared from My Computer.
Device Manager shows that they are still there but there's an exclamation
mark on both icons. It says Code 31 problem, that Windows cannot load the
drivers.
Unistalling Nero has made no difference.
When I try to reinstall the drivers it says they're already installed.
Uninstalling the drivers and Updating the drivers make no difference.
Rebooting to Last Good Configuration doesn't help. Except that now my Iomega
External Drive has disappeared from Device Manager.
I'm running a Dell Inspiron 5000e 750Mhz, Win2k..
Dell haven't been particularly helpful. I can't run their Product Recovery
CD or their Drivers and Utilities CD for obvious reasons!
