Missing DMA for Hard Drive

F

Frank Brown

Running WinXP SP2 on a Gigabyte K8NS Pro, AMD Athlon 64 3000+

Rebuilt machine to add SATA Raid 1 as the C drive.

After loading everything, the Maxtor 6B100P0 (Location 0 on the Primary ATA
Channel) which had been my data drive shows up in the Device Manager, but
not in My Computer.

I got an error to the effect that DMA is not loaded for this drive.

Any suggestions?

drive letter to it.

Rich,
Thanks for the reply.
When I R-click on the drive in Disk Management, the only available option is
"Delet the Partition ..."
All other options are grayed out.
