Advice please
I have three computers running XP (sp1 and sp2) apparently working well. I
have found in Windows\Downloaded Programs, an entry:
{9F1C11AA-197B-4942-BA54-47A8489BB47F}
which is reported damaged.
In looking at the properties\Dependency, they show a needed but allegedly
damaged file, IUCTL.DLL. Actually this dll is missing from all three
computers. Also. the IUCTL.INF is also missing. The other require file is
present (iuengine.dll) and is an MS file
To whom they belong? Is this something needed? Can I get them somewhere? Or
can it be deleted?
Your expert advice will be appreciated, thanks.
Cheers

Thanks for the great info.
I do not get any messages at the Win-Up site and it is working well.
The software of the Win-Up site has changed. I wonder if perhaps that might
be the reason, and this is not needed any longer. Do not wish to reinstall
this iuctl and create a problem.
Cheers

Inasmuch as after instalacion of the iuctl.cab, the Windows\Downloaded
Programs entry:
{9F1C11AA-197B-4942-BA54-47A8489BB47F} has changed from Corrupted to Unknow
with all the dependencies in place, the Windows Update was force to reinstal
the new software. Thus, my observation of the status was by design and it
might be best to leave it as corrupted or perhaps to delete it. What do you
think?
Cheers
