Google Earth says it need libexpatw.dll to run. I removed G'Earth along with
temp files, etc. in doing cleanup for another problem. G'Earth was running
okay before, now I can't get it back. Where do I get the .dll file free?

I haven't tried with Google Earth installer file, but you may want to
try "Universal Extractor" to manually extract the files from the main
installer file.

Thanks for the reply. I will check into it.

If that doesn’t work, you could just type the filename into Google and get a
copy from a DLL repository. It took me eight seconds to get one. Just be sure
that it is not one of those sites that charges money for the file, and that it
is not infected; there’s a few trustworthy ones.

As a last resort, you could Google for “libexpatw.dll intitle:index.of”. That
will guarantee you finding a copy of the file, although its version may not
match your intallation.

Jaelani’s suggestion of extracting the file from the installer is ideal. If you
can’t do that (I don’t know what kind of installer it uses), then you could try
just reinstalling over your existing install.

Oh, and see if it has a repair option in the installation.
