Trying to launch Win XP on a PC - getting the error
msg "missing C:\windows\system32\nvmctray.dll"

When I have looked into C:\windows\system32\ there is no
file by that name present. I have looked on three other
PC's for this file and have yet to find it. I have
searched the Microsoft web site for it too again to no
avail.

My question's are: Where is it? What exactly does it do?
Can I copy it back into C:\windows\system32?

Any help gratefully received!

Best regards

Maurice

Searching for this file name on Google draws the conclusion that it has
something to do with Nvidia cards and probably has nothing to do with
Microsoft. Suggest you search on Google.

See www.dougknox.com, Win XP Utilities, Startup Programs Tracker. This
small utility scans your system for startup programs and running processes.
It also allows you to create a log file that can be copied and pasted into a
newsgroup post. The contents of the program window are also copied to the
Windows Clipboard, automatically.

Post the contents back, and we'll tell you how to get rid of it.
