missing disk

I'm running XP pro and added a hard disk as a slave.

Disk appears in control panel, device manager and is
listed as working corectly.

Disk does not appear in "MY Computer", doesn't appear in
WIndows explorer either.

ANy suggestions please?

You need to assign it a drive letter. Go to Start, Run and type diskmgmt.msc
to bring up the disk management console. You should see your second hard
disk here, probably as Disk 1. Right click on it and select "Change drive
letters and paths". Now click the add button and assign it a drive letter.
It will now show up in Windows Explorer and My Computer.
