I have 2 domains xxx.root and yyy.local (1 DC in each domain)

on yyy.local domain under sites and services i see both servers 1 from each
domain (replication does take place from xxx.root to yyy.local)

on xxx.root domain under sites and services i only see the 1 server (the
server from xxx.root)

how do i get the server from yyy.local back in the default site in the
xxx.root domain.

there is only 1 site (the default one)

for DNS the xxx.root has xxx.root primary and yyy.local secondary
and for yyy.local the xxx.root is secondary and yyy.local primary
the yyy.local has forwarders pointing to the xxx.root DC
the xxx.root dc has a root zone with delegated zones for xxx.root and
yyy.local pointing to the primary name servers
all name servers are ad integrated and have dynamic updates set to Yes

Trust relationship is working fine however

GC information is not updated to the xxx.root domain. (from the yyy.local
domain

Both servers are windows 2000 sp3
I have tried Repadmin /ADD however i get and error 1645 something to do with
SPN's etc however I have got no documentation on what an SPN is or how it is
supposed to work
and also there is very little documentation on repadmin /add.

Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Riccardo

Ok I fixed the problem

I ran REPADMIN /ADD

Got error 1645 when running the command

I added a registry key to the NTDS somthing to do with SPN

then REPADMIN /ADD again

forced kcc check

Forced replication

removed the registry key

rebooted root domain controller
