Please first fix that broken keyboard. Your "Caps Lock" key is stuck in "on".

Restore the BAT file from your backup.
Since this is associated with a Book Keeping application I am sure you made backups of both
the data and the application "just in case" and for disaster recovery reasons -- Right ?

yes i have backups of both the data and the program, but this prob must be
windows related because the backups give me the same error....
thanks

Hi Jack,
Let's calm down a bit. First, in the "dones-and-not-dones" of newsgroups
it's a sin to type in caps. It's seen as SHOUTING and it reads annoying. To
set back the *.exe file is something else then just running the backed up
prog. I can't give you an advice on this, maybe you have the adjust the
settings of the Config.nt and/or the Autoexec.nt. These files replace the
old Config.sys and Autoexec.bat of the MS-Dos and Windows 95 era. But my
best advice would be: go Start>Help and Support and in the Search window
there, type MS-Dos and you will gather a lot of information. Good luck.
Hans.

thanks for ur help. that might get me to where i can figure it out... as far
as the caps lock, sorry, didn't mean to be rude..
like i said i don't do much chatting but thats no excuse. thanks again
