I have a computer running Win XP that is missing the
Address Bar in IE and Explorer. I tried all the
obvious. The address bar is selected and it is not
hidden anywhere. Does anyone know how to restore the
address bar?

Reset the toolbar setting from Registry using this fix:
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/xp_toolbarfix.htm

(or)

Download IE Addressbar fix from here:
http://mvps.org/sramesh2k/reg/IEToolbar.reg

[Close all browser windows and apply the .REG script]

Deletes the following registry key; Resets Toolbar, Addressbar positions to
defaults. Restores hidden/missing bars:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar

If this does not help, see:
http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/1111/
[Do you have the NoAddressBar key in registry?]
