Missing address and toolbars...

This has happened to me for the third time... and I don't
know why or how to correct it... When I open a folder, any
folder... the address and toolbars are missing from the
window.

All I see is a folder with a list of files.

If I create a new profile... then things go back to
normal... but that's a hassel..

What setting is being lost and how do I correct it?
