Thanks Cari - and I'm afraid I'm a life member of the Grammar Gestapo and
the Spelling Squad. I had things drummed into me at school and if we didn't
get it on the 10th time they made us write it out 100 times. I'm afraid that
things like "your welcome" drive me absolutely apoplectic (yes, I'm trying
not to let it affect me, but it's just so ignorant!) My other pet peeves
are: - people who feel the need to use apostrophes with plurals (yes there
are rare occasions when it applies), people who don't know the difference
between 'its' and 'it's', people who don't know the diffence between
'advice/device' and 'advise/devise', ALL CAPPERS, people who don't
punctuate, people who sprinkle punctuation like confetti, people who can't
be arsed to spellcheck, 'i before e, except after c'...OK, I'll shut up now.

I don't really care if I never make MVP - I'm not trying anymore. I know
I've been nominated several times, but I'm not going to change, so that's
that.

By the way, Will said you tried to email me. My address is most definitely
working if you want to give it another shot.

knowledge; which is the whole purpose for the newsgroups. I have yet to

hateful. MVPs are the only people she is civil to, as if they are superior
beings and her equal. In her warped mind, nobody else deserves her help, or
should benefit from her alleged knowledge. If she is so interested in
spelling and grammar, then she should find a newsgroup to discuss those
topics, and stay the hell out of Microsoft Newsgroups. People are here for
computer, programs ,internet, etc questions, not a spelling test. What a
witch!

Euro 2004 is a topic for a different newsgroup but we made it to the
finals... I didn't eXPect Portugal to win because we haven't been able to
beat Greece for eight years. Don't ask why... I don't know.

It does apparently have some modicum of knowledge and
experience, but ... that doesn't make it indispensable,
or even desirable, in any way, IMO. A jerk is a jerk
and needs to be jerked. I don't often see many
incorrect answers on these groups, but it probably
rates in the bottom ten for accuracy. And as far as
interpersonal skills go, well, there's place can help
with that. I can't help but figure if you don't like
in the kitchen, get the hell out of the kitchen. And,
I don't have to like you to respect you, but if you
dislike me openly, I"m not likely to ever get around to
respecting you. Or give a turd what you think or say.

It does a lot more than just speak its mind; it also

Saying that, "She may correct" is being kind, when she typically refers to others rudely when they make minor grammatical errors, and I find it pointless to consider your comment valid, when you avoid mentioning this aspect about her. And since when are these groups about proper and perfect grammar?? To much time gets wasted here making truly minor grammatical corrections, when most here can understand the gist of the queries for help.

Things (or in this case, grammatical errors) cannot, nor ever can be "ignorant" (they can result from those who are ignorant, when composing such phrases, like you did above!!). Only sentient beings (e.g. humans), can ignore or be ignorant! Words (or simply "things" while using "it's" to attribute ignorance to that effect) have no ability to ignore, or be ignorant! So much for school drumming!



In any case, Cari may stroke you, but he doesn't bother to say anything to you when you go out of your way to insult people, and you are not correct most of the time. This tells me that Cari either is misinformed, or really just doesn't want to hear from you when you are wrong, simply because he is avoiding your help follies here with corrections. Stating how you become bothered by others (especially when you state it was scholastically drummed into you LOL) when they make grammatical errors in whatever manner that may be, but you have no problem violating that to no end. Then when it is pointed out, you ignore it, nor correct it. (Clumberland Spaniels come to mind, there's no such animal LOL??). I can easily, in just the past year point to hundreds of posts you have made that have many grammatical errors. Will you admit to being wrong if I post them?

(It is virtually a scientifically proven fact that congeniality cannot, nor ever exist in your personality!)
