mirroring?

anyone know how to mirror drives? esp using firewire
external drives? can i easily unplug them and use them
elsewhere?

thanks. I may be trying something a bit trickier; to
store hours of DV movies onto HDD, and have a 2nd drive
in case the first fails. windows has the
nice "mirroring" feature but its terribly underdescribed
