mirrored volumes (newbie)

i have wink 2 server
2 disk
have created a mirror of system/boot partition

what i want to do is test the configuration.

by the way both disk are on there own ide channels

so i have modifyed the boot.ini file to point to the second disk

disk(1)

have disconected disk (0)
reebooted
but it still that it can not find the the boot partiton on disk (1) am i
over looking something here, ithought that is all one had to do ?

any tips advice, warning greatly appreciated.

They should be on different IDE for full effect.
