mirror image of worksheet?

Steven

im not sure if this is possible but i would like one of the worksheets on a
template to me mirrored instead of a working copy to be made, when the
template is clicked on or selected from new office document menu.

by mirrored i mean a worksheet that can not be altered in any way, its only
a reference of the original file from the template. (think of it like a
window, letting you see the template but you cant touch it because of the
glass)

Thanks,
Steve

Steven, set up the workbook and protect the one worksheet (Tools >
Protection > Protect Sheet) you don't want users to alter. Then save the
workbook as a template. When I created a new workbook based on this
template, I was able to edit all the worksheets except the protected one.
(I'm using Excel 2003)

That's what i have done, but if its possible to do it the other way, it
would mean when any changes are made to the template all the other sheets
would be updated to.
